Application:
1. It is used for Bi-syndrome of wind-dampness type with weakness ofwaist and knees; especially suitable for chronic rheumatism with yin deficiencyof the liver and kidney manifested as weakness of waist and knees andflaccidity of extremities, it is usually combined with Duhuo (Radix AngelicaePubescentis ), Qinjiao ( Radix Gentianae Macrophyllae ), and Guizhi ( RamulusCinnamomi), etc., such as Duhuo Jisheng Tang (Decoction). 
2. For threatened abortion with spot vaginal bleeding and habitual miscarriagedue to yin deficiency of the liver and kidney, it is usually combined withEjiao ( Colla Corii Asini), Xuduan (Radix Dipsaci ), and Tusizi ( SemenCuscutae), etc., such as Shoutai Wan (Pill).
